Why Join CBBC?

The Casco Bay Bike Club is a nonprofit, membership organization that relies on membership fees to support the work of the club. Although CBBC has no paid staff, it does pay for services that help to keep our club safe and informed, i.e. website hosting, liability insurance, P.O. Box rental, Ride with GPS subscription, etc. For more information about CBBC’s annual budget, please contact the Club’s Treasurer, Steve Capriola.

Why ride alone when you can ride with others? CBBC offers weekly road rides on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and “special rides” throughout the season. FMI, access CBBC Ride Information.

I’ve explored new routes/areas (that I would not have seen on my own); I’ve learned some great bicycling tips/pointers; I’ve met friendly, welcoming people.

Need gear? CBBC members enjoy shopping discounts at the following bike shops: Ernie’s Cycle Shop in Westbrook, KB Wheels in Yarmouth, Center Street Cycles in Brunswick, CycleMania in Portland, and Boulder Nordic Sport in Portland.

Stay protected! CBBC members who participate in our rides are covered by the Club’s liability insurance, if an accident does occur. Non-members are included in this coverage for only one ride so, if you are planning to ride with CBBC throughout the season, please join the club!
